Germany

What is Meppen?

Circuit Meppen is a track located in Northern Germany, just outside the city of Meppen in the German region of Emsland, only 86 miles from Bremen and 131 miles from Amsterdam. It is just across the Dutch border with Germany – and it brings you 1.5 miles of exciting and tricky corners, the ultimate test for drivers and cars.

For enthusiasts, by enthusiasts
Meppen is run by the same people who run Driving-Fun.com: pure petrol heads who have turned their passion for motorsport into their business. Meppen challenges you as if it’s a Grand Prix circuit, while offering the easy accessibility of a club of friends.

More than a circuit
Meppen is more than just a racetrack – it also offers karting, quad and off-roading experiences, spacious restaurants and even an Irish pub. The track itself is built next to a natural gas Power plant. The Power station’s cooling tower, now found right next to the circuit, depicts the largest world map in the world at 433ft of height and stands as an icon of the track’s international ambitions.

Why Meppen?

We at Gatebil have always had an open mind about taking Gatebil outside Norway. That is why Gatebil also has a home in Sweden for so many years. After visiting Meppen together with Herman Peene (one of the owners Rymax Lubricants, who are long-time partners of Gatebil), this vision has become a plan. On board we have the best of the best: the most exciting circuit and its team of petrolheads: Cees Prins and Peter Tunissen. Great partners in Rymax Lubricants, with Herman Peene and Jan-Pieter Doove. And a powerful visionair in this project: Fredric Aasbø. All these parties plus the Gatebil crew form the ultimate team for the job. Meppen has so much to offer, and it is a great location to hit Europe right in its heart. We are more than excited for the journey and challenge that we have started!
