Gatebil Season Finale is a wrap!

The best Breisladden in history on Swedish soil, autumn days that offered everything from bright sunshine to torrential rain and thunder, a thrilling burnout competition, a record-breaking prize pool in the Gatebil Drift Battle, action-packed Extreme Race and not least – the first 720 degree entry in history at Mantorp Park. We can proudly say that the season ended in the spirit of Gatebil.

We hope you were there and experienced the unforgettable atmosphere with us. But if you missed out – or just want to relive the weekend – we’ve put together a summary of the highlights here.

This year’s edition of Gatebil Drift Battle will go down in history as the most maxed-out drifting competition ever at Gatebil. With a record-breaking prize pool of SEK 120,000 and a starting field filled with both internationally recognized top drivers and hungry rookies, it was set for a world-class show.

The audience was treated to everything from rock-hard battles to unpredictable twists and turns. The weather took its toll and forced challenges already in the Top 32, but the drama made the race even more spectacular – and rarely have we seen a Drift Battle of this caliber at Mantorp Park.

The final was a duel between two drivers with international credentials: Simen Olsen and Joakim Andersson. When Andersson could not make it to the start in the decisive part of the final, it was clear – Simen Olsen is this year’s champion in Gatebil Drift Battle.

Special prizes were also awarded. They reward not only results, but also attitude, fighting spirit and potential.

Rookie of the Year

The award goes to a driver who combines humility and kindness with a strong will to always deliver at the highest level. He has shown courage, stood out in a tough and competitive field and impressed time and time again with a clear development in every line. Therefore, the Rookie of the Year award went to Rasmus Nilsson.

59 North Fighting Spirit

The award goes to a driver who truly embodies what Gatebil and 59 North Wheels is all about – passion, fun and community. He travels far and wide, shipping his cars from country to country and making every effort to be there and be part of Gatebil. His presence is a joy in itself – that’s why this year’s 59 North Fighting Spirit goes to Fannar Por.

Gatebil Extreme – the season decided at Mantorp Park

The Gatebil Season Finale marked the end of this year’s Gatebil Extreme – and what a season it has been! The series has featured everything from hard-fought battles to hungry drivers giving their all to score points.

At the top we find this year’s dominant: Dennis Bjørklund, who with his Audi A4 DTM shone throughout the season and finished on a total of 798 points. Silver went to Team Frisak with 728 points, while Ruben Thorsen secured third place after a strong season.

A dramatic and fast-paced Extreme season thus came to a worthy end at Mantorp Park.

Gatebil Burnout Competition

Those of you who were there – you know. Saturday night at the Gatebil Season Finale brought even more smoke than usual as the Gatebil Burnout Competition took over the arena. In front of an ecstatic crowd, the drivers delivered performances that brought the stands to a boil – but in the end it was the crowd that decided.

And the winner? None other than Mina Skedsmo, who was crowned champion of this year’s Burnout Competition.

Historically tight Breisladden at Gatebil Season Finale

Could we have witnessed the tightest Top 6 in Breisladden ever on Swedish soil? Sunday’s Breisladden offered an absolutely world-class show where the drivers delivered a show from the first to the last repa.

In the Top 6 we saw a starting field filled with quality: Jonas Carsting, Mattias Karlsson, Rasmus Nilsson, Simen Olsen, Odd-Helge Helstad and Petter Wåtland. When the six drivers had completed their laps, it was so close at the top that the judges decided to let the top four drive the final. And we enjoyed it.

It all came down to small, small margins – and after a thrilling final, Petter Wåtland was the winner. Simen Olsen finished in second place, while Odd-Helge Helstad secured third place.

Gatebil Award

This award is not just for a car – it’s for an exhibitor who really understands what Gatebil is all about. Through his commitment, presence and pride, he has elevated his car and created an experience for everyone around him. With his way of meeting guests and presenting the building, he has set the standard for how an exhibitor should be – and made the car show even better. That’s why the Gatebil Award goes to William Berg and his Volvo 945.

ARN Racing Award

This replica proudly demonstrates that passion, creativity and uncompromising construction can be just as impressive as the original. With its presence, its unique expression and its obvious statement at the show, it caught everyone’s eye. It stands as proof that car culture is about love of form and feeling – not just the logo on the steering wheel. The ARN Racing Award goes to Mikael Johansson and his Ferrari F40.
