What is Meppen?

Circuit Meppen is a track located in northern Germany, just outside the town of Meppen in the German region of Emsland, only 86 km from Bremen and 131 km from Amsterdam. It’s located just over the Dutch border with Germany – and it gives you 1.5 miles of thrilling and tricky corners, the ultimate test for drivers and cars.

For enthusiasts, by enthusiasts
Meppen is run by the same people who run Driving-Fun.com: pure petrolheads who have turned their passion for motorsport into their own business. Meppen challenges you as if it were a Grand Prix track, while being as accessible as a group of friends.

More than just a racetrack
Meppen is more than just a racetrack – here you’ll also find go-karting, quad and off-road experiences, spacious restaurants and even an Irish pub. The track itself is built next to a gas power plant. The power station’s cooling tower, which now stands right next to the track, displays the world’s largest world map at 433 feet, and is an icon of the track’s international ambitions.

Why Meppen?

At Gatebil, we’ve always had an open mind about taking Gatebil outside Norway. That’s why Gatebil has also had a home in Sweden for so many years. After visiting Meppen with Herman Peene (one of the owners of Rymax Lubricants, Gatebil’s longtime partner), this vision has turned into a plan. On board we have the best of the best: the most exciting track and its team of petrolheads: Cees Prins and Peter Tunissen. Fantastic partners in Rymax Lubricants, with Herman Peene and Jan-Pieter Doove. And a powerful visionary in this project: Fredric Aasbø. All these parties plus the Gatebil crew make up the ultimate team for the job. Meppen has so much to offer, and it’s a great place to meet Europe at its heart. We can’t wait to embark on the journey and the challenge we have started!
