This weekend, after a 10-year hiatus, it all kicks off with Gatebil On Ice at Hebbes Racing in Sigdal! On January 24, no less than two(!) world champions in drifting will appear! We’re talking about two of the world’s best professional motorsport athletes taking to the ice – and showing off their driving skills! Our very own Fredric Aasbø shows up, and he’s talked to his fiercest competitor, and reigning world champion, James Deane! Mr. Deane has caught up with the madness on the ice – and is looking forward to driving various cars and being part of this festive day, for both young and old.
James Deane is the only drift driver in the world to hold three championship titles – on three different continents – in the same year! As well as being the reigning world champion and the only driver with five Formula Drift wins to his name, he’s also the most winning drifting driver ever! That’s something to be respected. And now he’s coming to Norway to take on his fiercest competitor, Fredric Aasbø, on the ice.
