ADRENALIN, ASPHALT AND ALLSANG: – It’s at Rudskogen that it really happens July 10-13

– Rudskogen is where the real action is

When the popular motorcycle festival gets underway at Rudskogen on Thursday 10 July, four days of action-packed festival fun awaits from morning to night. “If there’s one year you shouldn’t miss Gatebil, it’s this year,” says General Manager Hans Jørgen Andersson.

– “You haven’t been to Gatebil until you’ve been to Rudskogen,” says Hans Jørgen, smiling broadly.

And he really means it. Because when tens of thousands of excited people gather for four days of blasting gas, concerts, shows and a festival atmosphere, it’s anything but an ordinary car rally.

10.- 13. July, the motorsport track in Rakkestad is transformed into an unparalleled public festival.

– The Rudskogen Festival is our biggest event. This is where it really happens. The cars, the camping, the music, the people and the atmosphere make it the happening of the year for everyone who likes to have fun,” says Hans Jørgen enthusiastically.

THIS YEAR’S HAPPENING: A lot of fun and a great atmosphere are expected when 40,000 visitors and vehicles of all kinds take over Gatebil at Rudskogen from July 10-13, 2025.

Festival with wings

This year, Gatebil is raising the bar even higher and offering several exciting new features. These include a display of the Spitfire, the iconic aircraft type from the Second World War.

– There is only one two-seater Spitfire in Norway, and only 35 in the world that are still flying. “The sound is incredible. It’s guaranteed to give you goosebumps,” promises Hans Jørgen.

But it doesn’t stop there. Il Tempo Gigante itself is coming. In addition, there will be spectacular motor shows including snowmobiles, FMX and not least Super3.

– This is a drifting competition where three cars are driven synchronously with millimeter precision in front of an enthusiastic audience, who also participate in selecting the winner.

Cars in all variants

During the festival’s racing series, Gatebil Extreme, everything from sports cars to home-built bruisers will compete. Lamborghini versus Audi. Porsche against old Volvos with engines on steroids. Just to name a few.

– The diversity is enormous. You don’t get thirteen identical cars in a row. It’s madness, precision and passion all in one package,” says Hans Jørgen.

And it’s not just on the track where the action is. The Showgarden is filled with polished treasures and rarities, while the shopping street abounds with everything from car care products to snacks.

– We also have bungee jumping, Gatebil Taxi and a range of experiences that ensure there’s never a dull moment, no matter who you are or what you like.Buy tickets

From all over the world

The festival at Rudskogen attracts visitors and participants from all over Norway – and the world. They have previously had cars sent from the USA and New Zealand, and participants from up to 17 different countries.

– Gatebil has become an international cult festival for the drifting community. In fact, we have twice been named by Speedhunters magazine as the world’s coolest car festival, ahead of the legendary Le Mans,” says Hans Jørgen proudly.

He emphasizes that the festival also has something for those who don’t necessarily know the difference between a twin-turbo and a V8.

– There’s something for everyone at Rudskogen. Whether you love electric cars, like to polish your vintage car or just want a weekend with good friends and a great atmosphere.

Expecting 40,000

When the sun goes down over Rudskogen, the Aftertrack concerts begin. On stage this year are Hagle and Carina Dahl, among others, who are guaranteed to create an atmosphere into the late hours of the night.

– “Gatebil is characterized by the fact that you get concerts like at a regular music festival, plus a whole world of car and motor shows. You simply get more for your money,” says Hans Jørgen.

Together with the rest of the team behind Gatebil, he is ready to welcome almost 40,000 happy festival participants to an unforgettable experience.

– “I’m most looking forward to the bustling crowds and seeing thousands of people having fun together. That’s when I feel we’ve hit the nail on the head. If you’re only going to one festival this summer, this is it!
