Super 3 is a team drifting competition where 3 cars drive in teams and work together to stay as close and wide as possible. Super 3 is crazy fun for participants and a nerve-wracking smoke show for the audience!

The competition is always happening at Gatebil Rudskogen in July, and has been organised 6 times – from 2016 to 2019, 2021 and 2022.

The Showgarden is a large exhibition area where anyone who has a special and nice car that stands out from the crowd can participate. Both new and old – original and rebuilt.

Anyone who wishes can try to participate in the exhibition and get some recognition for their car. Read more: here.

There will of course be prizes for the cars the judges like best. New in 2023 is that the public can also vote in category “people choice”. Which exhibition classes and how many are awarded will differ from festival to festival.

Do you want to experience everything that happens at Gatebil, both during the day and in the evening? Then you must stay at the Gatebil camp! Here you will find useful information and some simple rules of thumb that are important to follow so that everyone has as much fun and good time as possible.

At all Gatebil festivals there are large camping areas with room for everyone. Groups of friends who want to gather are encouraged to come together, possibly agree with the guards that you yourself hold space for those who arrive a little later.

Anyone with a festival ticket can stay at the camp-site. All cars on camping-area requires a car/campervan pass or a buss/truck pass. The caravan and tent is included.

At the festival camp, there is often an extra good atmosphere in the evening. But there are also separate camp where it is quieter – we call it family camp. You can see where this is on the area maps or just ask Gatebil crew at the arrival.

On the area map for each festival, it is marked where there are showers and toilets.

At all Gatebil festivals there is Aftertrack in the evening. Concerts, shows and DJs – either on a large outdoor stage or in a tent. Anyone over 18 with a festival ticket has access to Aftertrack.

CLEAN UP YOUR OWN CAMPING AREA – If there is a bit of a mess around the caravan during the festival, there is no order police asking you to clean it up, but before traveling home, it must be as clean as when you arrived. It is NOT allowed to leave sofas, refrigerators, broken caravans and other things like that. The area must be cleaned in rubbish bags which are handed out by our cleaning team.

DANGER OF FIRE, GLASS BOTTLES, DRIVING A MOPED – The risk of fire is something everyone must take seriously, and common sense is what counts. Disposable grills are prohibited, but regular grills on legs are permitted, unless otherwise announced before or at the festival. Glass bottles are also not allowed, as broken glass is unpleasant for both people and cars. It is also not permitted to drive mopeds, scooters and the like around the camp or depot areas. Only with the exception of ATVs that tow race cars to and from the pit lane.

FIRE WARNING / BRANNFARE: . All fire grills (wood/coal) are prohibited!

DEPOT (asphalt) – only gass grill (with fire extinguisher, next to grill)
CAMP 1 (grass) – only gass grill (with fire extinguisher, next to grill)
CAMP 2 (gravel) – only gass grill (with fire extinguisher, next to grill)
CAMP 3 (gravel) – only gass grill (with fire extinguisher, next to grill)
CAMP 4 (gravel) – only gass grill (with fire extinguisher, next to grill)

All visitors at Gatebil has to show extra caution when use of warm materials. Smoking should be avoided in areas with grass/trees.

LET THE CAR STAND! – At Gatebil camping it is forbidden to drive a car after 21:00. Driving cars in the area is allowed only with arrival and are departure. Starting the car and revving the engine is also not permitted. Remember, if you are behind the wheel of your car and have drunk alcohol, the police can arrest you for drunk driving even if you don’t start the car.

ProTect is responsible for peace and order at Gatebil. The police are also at the scene, and both the fire brigade and the infirmary are open 24 hours a day. See area map or ask any of Gatebil Crew members for assistance.

It must be quiet in all areas after 02:00.
No loud music is allowed on the family campsite and it must be completely quiet starting 08:00 p.m.

Track driving for everyone
More info

This heat is for you who want to drive on the track with your car, but not slide or drift. In the straight line group, you can test your sports car, rebuilt car or just see what your old GTI can do on the track. Maybe to try to improve your lap times or just feel like driving over the speed limit legally. In this group, therefore, drifting is not allowed. If you want to skid or drift, do not drive the Straight Line!

When you would like to try out sliding through the corners or you are just in the beginning of your drifting carrier, this is the heat for you. Drive fast and drift in the corners. In Open Line, you keep a little more distance between the cars so that everyone has the opportunity to test drifting in a slightly “calmer” way. You are not allowed to drift on the straights or use the hand brake to set up the car into the corners. If you are a racing driver in drifting, you should not drive in this group, then it is Drift Line that suits you better!

Drift Line ROOKIE fits for you who just want to drift – preferably all over the course at all times! You can practice your skills and drift all the way around the track. If you dont have 1000 horsepowers and are not a trained drifter – this is the pass for you!

Here we find the fastest drifting PRO drivers. If you are a racing driver in drifting, this is where you should drive. Here you drive faster and with less distance to each other with 100% operation all the time. If you have drift licence and a car with plenty of horsepowers this might be the heat for you!

Gatebil Extreme is Gatebil’s own Time Attack and Racing series, where everything from home-built budget cars to fully professional former factory cars participate. The series follows the FIA’s safety requirements, but otherwise you are almost free to do what you want with the car, and several have engines of over an incredible 1000 horses. Gatebil Extreme was started in 2005, and since then over 200 cars/drivers have participated.

In Time Attack, the best lap time applies. Here, the course is open for 45 minutes, where participants can choose to drive just 1 round, or 18 as the maximum allowed. Everyone can drive in the pit lane or depot at any time to change tires and adjust the car, and out on the track again to try to drive even faster. It is 5 race in the series, 1 at each festival. The times from the Extreme Time Attack provide the starting line-up for the Extreme Race.

Extreme Race is a racing series with a joint start and first to the finish line. How many laps – varies from the track competition is held on – Vålerbanen, Mantorp park or Rudskogen. It is 10 race in the series, 2 at each festival.

Anyone with a licensed race car is basically welcome to participate. For registration or questions – contact
