Here you’ll find important information and campsite regulations that must be followed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

NO PRE-BOOKING
All Gatebil festivals have large camping areas where there is space for everyone. Groups who wish to camp together are asked to arrive at Gatebil at the same time, or alternatively reserve space for members of the group who arrive later.

CAMPING IS INCLUDED IN THE FESTIVAL TICKET
All festival ticket holders can camp free of charge. Caravans are permitted, but a “vehicle pass” is required for the towing vehicle and all vehicles entering the campsite.

Example: If three friends arrive in one car towing a caravan, each friend needs a festival ticket. Only one vehicle pass is required for the towing vehicle, and it covers the entire stay at Gatebil.

CAMPING OPTIONS
Festival Camp and Race Camp are located right next to the track – so close that you’ll wake up to the smell of tire smoke and the sound of roaring engines.

For teams, we offer a paved paddock area with access to electricity. These spots are limited, and some are pre-reserved by Gatebil, which prioritizes teams that have competed for many years in order to create a well-organized and visitor-friendly paddock.

The Festival Camp has a lively atmosphere in the evenings. If you prefer a quieter option, there is a family camping area located along the road toward Skänninge by the main entrance. Family camping spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Showers and Toilets
On the Gatebil area map, you will find markings indicating where showers and toilets are located.

AFTERTRACK
At every Gatebil event, Aftertrack takes place in the evening. Aftertrack features concerts, shows, and DJ performances on the large outdoor stage. All visitors over the age of 18 with a festival ticket have access to Aftertrack

RULES

1. CLEANING THE CAMPSITE: Keep your area clean during the festival and leave it as you found it. Large items such as sofas, refrigerators, and broken caravans must not be left behind. Collect all trash in garbage bags so our cleaning staff can take care of it.
2. RULES FOR FIRES, GLASS AND DRIVING: Grilling is permitted unless otherwise stated, but glass bottles are prohibited due to the risk of broken glass. All vehicles must be driven at walking speed.
3. PARK YOUR CAR: It is not permitted to drive on the campsite after 22.00 21.00. Vehicles may only be driven upon arrival and departure, and driving with the engine at high revs is prohibited.
4. SAFETY: Security personnel and police ensure a safe environment. Fire services and a medical station are available 24/7 – please refer to the area map for locations.
5. MUSIC: There must be silence in the festival area after 01.00 02.00. At the family campsite, loud music is not permitted, and there must be complete silence after 22.00 20.00.

Gatebil Showgarden will be open from Friday to Sunday during the festival. Get ready for exciting activities such as the Limbo competition, track parades, and an incredible atmosphere that lasts all day – and all night!

STRAIGHT LINE
This group is for those who want to test their car’s speed and driving performance on track – without drifting. Bring your sports car, your modified build, or even your old GTI to improve lap times or simply experience legal high-speed driving.
Drifting is strictly not allowed in this group. If you’re interested in drifting, you must choose a different group.

OPEN LINE
Perfect for beginners who want to drift through the corners. In Open Line, you can drift in the turns with more space between the cars, providing a safer and smoother experience.
However, drifting on the straights or using the handbrake to initiate corners is not allowed. For more experienced drifters, the Drift Line group may be a better fit.

DRIFT LINE ROOKIE
Ideal for those eager to drift around the entire track. This group is perfect for building skills without needing 1,000 horsepower or professional experience.
Enjoy drifting all the way around the circuit!

DRIFT LINE PRO
For advanced, high-speed drifting enthusiasts. This group is reserved for professional drivers who drift with precision and minimal distance between the cars.
If you hold a drifting license and have a powerful car, Drift Line PRO is for you!

REQUIREMENTS FOR DRIVER, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLE:
Valid driver’s license
Driver suit (FIA approval not required)
Helmet
The vehicle you are driving must be in good technical condition at Gatebil
Must register for track driving at the secretariat
The vehicle must pass a technical inspection on site (mandatory for track driving)
Attend the driver’s briefing before going out on track

The Road Traffic Act applies. The legal blood alcohol limit is 0. Random checks may be carried out by both the police and track representatives.

REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLES DRIVING AT GATEBIL:
The car must undergo a technical inspection. During this inspection, it will be checked to ensure that the vehicle is fit for track use. The car must be:

– Cleared of all loose items.
– In generally good condition where everything is well attached.
– Be equipped with lights in accordance with the Road Traffic Act or applicable regulations for the vehicle type/class.
– Whole and neat, all body parts must be intact and in the same color.
– With no leaks from the engine, gearbox, cooling, brakes or dampers.
– An open wastegate is not permitted.
– The rear bumper must be mounted lower than the center of the wheel.
– The wheels must not protrude beyond the screens.
– There should be no moving parts protruding unprotected from the hood (pulley, etc.).
– The convertible must be driven with the roof closed and have sufficient rollover protection.

There is a 100 dB noise limit at all Gatebil Festivals. This is monitored both during technical inspections and while driving on track. Exceeding the noise limit on track will result in a warning flag. Repeated violations may result in denial of access to the track.

GATEBIL EXTREME
Gatebil Extreme is Gatebil’s own Time Attack and racing series, with everything from home-built budget cars to fully professional former factory cars taking part. The series follows the FIA’s safety requirements, but otherwise you are almost free to do whatever you want with the car, and several have engines of over an incredible 1000 horses. Gatebil Extreme was started in 2005, and since then over 200 cars/drivers have participated.

EXTREME TIME ATTACK
In Time Attack, it’s best lap time that counts. Here, the track is open for 45 minutes, where participants can choose to drive only 1 lap, or 18 which is the maximum allowed. Anyone can drive into the pits or pit lane at any time to change tires and adjust the car, and out on the track again to try to drive even faster. There are 5 races in the series, 1 at each festival. The times from the Extreme Time Attack provide the starting line-up for the Extreme Race.

EXTREME RACE
Extreme Race is a racing series featuring mass starts and a first-to-the-finish format. The number of laps varies depending on the track – whether it’s Vålerbanen, Mantorp Park, or Rudskogen. The series consists of 10 races in total, with 2 races at each festival.

REGISTRATION
Everyone with a licensed racing car is welcome to participate.

Technical rules and competition rules are sent out to participants before each festival.

OPEN TO ALL DRIVERS!
At Gatebil, everyone gets a chance in the spotlight! Whether you drive a street car or a full-on drift machine, you’re invited to compete. This competition is for everyone – amateurs, pros, rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive – all in the same class, ready to showcase their skills!

SIMPLE RULES
The rules are simple and familiar to many: drift widest, stay in control and create an unforgettable show! Impress the audience and the judges with your skills, style and flair!

THE BEST OF THE BEST
The Street Car Drift Battle puts the spotlight on the elite of drifting, showcasing the greatest talents in an intense, head-to-head competition. Only the best drivers from around the world are invited, and starting positions are drawn by lot to keep things fair and unpredictable.

Gatebil will determine a TOP 32 or TOP 16 format based on the scale of the event, adding to the excitement. Three expert judges will evaluate each round and ensure that only the best drivers advance. With high-caliber driving, dynamic locations and thrilling action, the Gatebil Drift Battle is a must-see experience for all fans!

DO YOU WANT TO STAY AT A HOTEL?
Search for hotels in Mjölby, a small village just 10 minutes by car from Mantorp Park. There is also the possibility of several hotels in Linköping, which is about 20 minutes north of Mantorp Park.

Mantorp Park is located right along the E4, between Mjölby and Linköping in Östergötland. Take exit no. 110 if you come by car on the E4. Continue a few hundred meters towards Skänninge (pass Circle K on the right), and the main entrance is on the left. Most trains stop in Linköping, and many in Mjölby. From these two cities there are commuter trains to Mantorp. There is an airport in Linköping, but unless you fly KLM or SAS, we recommend Stockholm-Skavsta in Nyköping where many low-cost flights fly to.
