This competition is all about the perfect harmony between human and machine, racing head-to-head over 201 meters of track. Each driver gets one chance to launch their car and cross the finish line before their opponent. Winners advance to race again until the coronation of the quickest Drag Racer at Gatebil.
Participants
All track cars participating in regular straight runs, open or driftline, and Extreme categories at Gatebil are able to join the Drag Race show. If your car has a start number, has passed technical inspection, and you have attended the drivers’ briefing, you’re all set to test your reaction times against other drivers.
- Line-Up: The Gatebil crew organize similar cars to compete against each other in the initial races.
- Location: The Drag Race show takes place on the longest straights of the track.

Competition Rules
This is a show competition, meaning no specialized track prep, timing systems, parachutes, or Top Fuel cars are involved. The rules, cars, and track conditions are the same as for track driving. Expect to see Porsches, Volvos, Drifting, and Extreme cars battling it out, reminiscent of the iconic races in “Fast & Furious.”
