Extreme Racing series are proffesional racecars invited by Gatebil to attend one of the most Extreme races.
ABOUT GATEBIL EXTREME
Gatebil Extreme is Gatebil’s own Time Attack and Racing series, in which everything from home-built budget cars to fully professional former factory cars participate.
The series follows the FIA’s requirements for safety, but otherwise it is almost free what is allowed to do with the car, and several have engines of over an incredible 1000 horses. Gatebil Extreme started in 2005, and since then over 200 cars and drivers have participated.
EXTREME TIME ATTACK
In Time Attack, the best lap time applies. Here, the track is open for 45 minutes, where participants can choose to run only 1 lap, or 18 which is the maximum allowed. Anyone can drive in the pit lane or depot at any time to change tires and adjust the car, and out on the track again to try to drive even faster.
The times from Extreme Time Attack provide the starting lineup for Extreme Race.
EXTREME RACE
Extreme Race is a racing race with a flying start and first to the finish. How many laps are the run varies from one track to another.
